All of us here in Oregon District 35 need to ensure that our kids get the best education possible. We all want our hard-earned dollars and cents invested wisely not only to simply make ends meet, but for our future. Every business owner, including work-from-home entrepreneurs deserves the right and ability to manage and grow their opportunity without unnecessary government intervention. We all aspire to become the best that we can be for ourselves, our families, our businesses and our community, but...

We DON'T have a lot of money to spend!

Business & Economy

As a proud and passionate member of our local and International personal and business economy, I have been an eye-witness and active participant in the exponential growth of technology firms and internet companies. As the technology bubble popped and a recession began in late 2000, teamed with the tragic events of September 11th these problems particularly in Oregon caused concerns for both families and businesses. I believe our local economy is a concern. My object is to fight smart and fight hard to improve economic growth and create a more robust job market.

I adamantly rally behind and admire those who live and love life with entrepreneurial spirit. I believe families are best positioned to raise their families based on their own principles, holding the power and expressive freedom in making their own decisions on how, when and why to spend their paychecks.

I believe in significantly reducing the size of government, their control and their spending habits. I believe we do need to spend money to get the job done right, but not one dollar more!

My commitment to my friends and business neighbors here in Oregon District 35 is to lead the charge to ensure that we all get the best "bang for our buck" by reducing big government control and frivolous government spending in Salem and hold decision makers fully accountable for economic issues and decisions that deeply concern us all.

Transportation

How fluidly we make our way around our community (or not) impacts our economy and we do need to grow and maintain a strong infrastructure.

Highway 99, Highway 217 and Interstate 5 play an all-important role in each and every one of our lives. Our population is on the rise and by nature this poses a threat to our transportation situation. , it is more important than ever to provide adequate funding for projects in Oregon.

Now more than ever before we do need to provide adequate funding to maintain, improve and protect our roads, but not one dollar more.

Schools & Education

With my wife Danielle (a Teacher's Aide) and both my kids, Matt and Isabella (students) heavily involved with our local schools and my experience with the International marketplace, we know all of our children need the best education possible to be competitive on a global scale.

I believe that we hold our schools and our teachers to the highest standards. We also need to support schools' efforts to improve.
Education should be a top-notch priority for all of us here in Oregon District 35. We must all support our schools in the name of improved academic performance to ensure that our kids achieve the best education possible to ultimately be more than competitive across an International business landscape.

We need to spend whatever it takes, but not one dollar more!
